001. What to do, what to do? [15 Jul 2009|08:46pm]
Homework and boredom. Is there anything else the gossip capital Hogwarts is simply buzzing about?

Private to Self )

Ancient Runes: Runes to English or English to runes? Personally, I think that runes to English is so much easier, but when I study, I do English to runes. The only problem is, sometimes when I'm taking a test, I completely blank on the runes, and feel like a complete idiot for it.

Muggle Studies: I do not understand the aversion to the class. There is no Muggle teaching the class, or in the class for that matter. Only Muggleborns. The only relation the class has to Muggles is that it is about Muggles: Muggle equality and how Muggle technology works. One may not agree with these points especially about Muggle equality, but the best defense is a good offense. In order to require that offense you must be educated about the matter.

Take Alecto Carrow for example. That woman was a Death Eater. Muggle Studies, then compulsory during the second wizarding war, was taught by her. It stands to reason Ms. Carrow changed the curriculum so that it became a brainwashing lesson. The lesson taught students that Muggles were stupid and dirty, Muggles were like animals, Muggles drove wizards into hiding by being vicious toward them (which is preposterous seeing as how Muggles would have to be the equal if the the superior in order to be considered a threat to wizards, something pure-blood supremacists would never agree to), and the natural order was being re-established.

Unfortunately, Ms. Carrow was caught in a upset by Ms. Mcgonagall before she could finish the school year. The point remained though that when challenged about her content of her course by a Mr. Neville Longbottom, Ms. Carrow could only slash Mr. Longbottom across the face, because she had no concrete evidence to prove her teachings.
